Cookie's Taffy Apple Salad
1-8oz can crushed pineapple w/juice
1/2 c sugar
1 TBS flour
1 egg
2 TBS cider vinegar
8 oz Cool Whip
6 Granny Smith apples, peeled & cut into small chunks
1 c dry roasted salted peanuts
In a medium saucepan, cook sugar, pineapple w/juice, flour, egg and vinegar
until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cool. When cool, fold in whipped topping
and apples. Pour into serving bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve. At
that time add the peanuts. (For the picnic, I did everything the day before
except adding the peanuts)
